Aerospace Propulsion Centre of Expertise
Improving Propulsion System Outcomes
CAPAGILITY has been contracted by the Australian Department of Defence’s Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) to manage and operate a new Aerospace Propulsion Centre of Expertise (APCoE), for an initial three year term commencing from July 2023.
The APCoE will build and expand upon CAPAGILITY’S previous work for CASG in improving propulsion system outcomes for a number of ADF aircraft fleets. In particular, the APCoE will:
- provide independent commercial & technical advice to the CASG Air Domain for optimising the capability and cost-of-ownership outcomes for the propulsion systems for existing and new ADF aviation platforms;
- improve Air Domain aero propulsion system knowledge and expertise; and
- support industry engagement & collaboration to enhance CASG’s strategic relationships with propulsion system Original Equipment Manufacturers and Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) organisations.
CASG Air Domain agencies are able to contact the APCoE directly on the Defence Protected Network for ad hoc professional advice in relation to their platform’s propulsion system, or to establish dedicated tasks to enable the APCoE to support a more substantial project or body of work. APCoE tasking will be prioritised by CASG Air Domain.
Aero-propulsion industry representatives that wish to engage with the APCoE may do so by emailing us at APCoE.CASG@defence.gov.au.
Talented propulsion system professionals interested in contributing to the APCoE should contact us at enquiries@capagility.com.au.
CAPAGILITY is pleased and excited to be supporting the CASG Air Domain in delivering improved capability and cost of ownership outcomes for the ADF’s aviation platforms.
